Overview

Quint Contemporary Art is pleased to present an exhibition of recent prints by San Diego artist Patricia Patterson. The show, Scenes from a Receding Past, will run from February 16 to March 31, 2007 with a reception for the artist on February 23rd from 6pm to 8pm. The public is welcome.

 

Patricia Patterson's work deals with "ordinary things." They are populated with family, friends, scenes of home and the surrounding landscape. For over thirty years Patterson traveled to Ireland and recorded images of rural life and the works in this exhibit portray life in the Irish village of Kilmurvey, Inishmore.

 

Patricia Patterson moved to San Diego from New York in 1970 and was a Professor of Art at the University of California, San Diego until 1999. Her work has been shown in numerous museums including the Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art, the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art and the San Diego Museum of Art.
