Heather Gwen Martin: Voyage

Sep 12 - Oct 24, 2026 ONE: 1955 Julian Ave
Overview
Opening Reception: Saturday, September 12, 6-8pm

Quint Gallery is pleased to present Voyage, a 2020 painting by Heather Gwen Martin at ONE. Located in the Bread & Salt building in Logan Heights, the show will include an opening reception on September 12 during Second Saturdays, alongside new exhibitions opening throughout the building.

Martin is a Los Angeles-based, San Diego-raised painter whose works are deeply engaged in the world of color theory and abstraction. Her lyrical abstractions flutter between hard edges and soft intuitive forms that create a constant state of movement and space. In the scale of Voyage, which is nearly seven feet in height, the spectrum shifts to something more intense when taking in the composition from perspectives both close and distant.

Born in 1977 in Saskatchewan, Canada, Heather Gwen Martin studied at the University of California, San Diego and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
